Survey Implementation and administration

All CESS’ research projects are based on quantitative and qualitative research methods. Since its foundation, CESS has conducted a large number of surveys, subject to individuals, households, enterprises and institutions in Albania, Kosovo, Greece, Italy, etc. CESS has a well trained interviewer’s team, with university educational background and spread in all geographical areas of the country. In most of CESS projects, the geographical coverage is the whole Albania territory. For any marginalised group, CESS has conducted censuses. The qualitative data are analysed by experienced statisticians and data analysts. For the data processing and analysis is used SPSS.


Apart of the surveys, CESS conducts as well focus groups, interviews and ethnographic case studies. The qualitative information is recorded, transcribed and analysed using the latest techniques developed for the qualitative data analysis.


Below is the list of some of the main research projects conducted over years by CESS and based on quantitative and qualitative techniques. In all these projects, the working team of CESS follow a multi-stage process, starting from formulating and clarifying a topic, reviewing the literature, designing the research, collecting data, analysing data and writing up.
